Accounting conjures up some pretty dry, pretty papery images in most people’s minds.  While we have watched many professions march forward with progresses in technology, our collective image of accounting has stayed fixed in time. We think of our dad’s CPA - stacks of paper in the office, having to haul boxes of documents around and needing to maintain file cabinets of records. This paper shuffle culminated in waiting anxiously for the stacks of paper to be turned into useful information like your tax position for a year that ended months ago or your company’s financial position that ended weeks ago.
